Loans and grants through federal financial aid can be an extremely important part of your college education funding package. Another vital resource? Scholarships. Like grants, scholarships are monetary awards that do not need to be paid back by the recipient. At Post University, we offer several scholarship opportunities to help students achieve their educational goals.
University Scholarships
Post offers several university-based scholarships, including:
Merit Scholarships (Fall 2023-Spring 2024)
Incoming first-time freshmen may be eligible for one of Post’s Academic Merit scholarships. Awarded in four different funding amounts, these scholarships are based on your high school GPA:
- GPA of 3.5 or higher – up to $10,000 per year
- GPA of 3.0-3.49 – up to $7,000 per year
- GPA of 2.5-2.99 – up to $4,000 per year
- GPA of 2.0-2.49 – up to $2,000 per year
These institutional merit-based scholarships are renewable, provided you maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Principle to President Scholarships
These scholarships help students who have underachieved in high school, no matter the reason, achieve their full academic potential at the next level. This scholarship offers $10,000 a year for four years.
The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business through the Connecticut Community Foundation
Provides a $1,000 annual award for business-degree seeking freshman.
Post College Foundation Scholarships
This scholarship is open to MC undergrad or grad students at all of our schools. Post College Foundation, Inc. accepts annual scholarship applications from students entering any year of an undergraduate or graduate degree program offered on the Main Campus of Post University, residing in northwest Connecticut and carrying a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0. An application and essay are required. Applications and details can be obtained from the Office of Student Finance.
Scholarships for Student Athletes
Post offers scholarship awards to student-athletes in many of our athletic programs if they meet NCAA requirements. Reach out to an athletic admissions advisor or your future coach to learn more!
Outside Scholarships
Your student finance specialist can provide some resources for outside scholarships, but we also recommend that you do some research around your community — you may be surprised at how many scholarships are offered to incoming freshmen! Scholarships can come from:
